Striker Nardiello joined Pools in the January transfer window of 2009 to bolster Pools attacking options. He joined Pools for an initial 5 month loan deal and made his debut in the 2-1 defeat against Brighton.

Nardiello started his career at Manchester United and has played for Swansea, Barnsley, QPR and Blackpool. His most successful spells have came at the Oakwell club where he's scored 29 goals.

After his move to Pools his hunt for a first team place was hampered by injuries and suspension but he broke into the first team at the end of the season, scoring 3 goals in 4 games.
