PooliePoolie We sold roughly 2,000 season tickets for last season.

Incorrect assumption made by far to many, we didn't have 2000 and depending on your idea of close and my idea of close, i would say we weren't close

What about my idea of close?

I can see plenty of figures from you on the thread Edd but none where you state what you thought was the number of season tickets sold last season which is what I was replying to (not your working out for when ticket sales etc be met). We sold nowhere near 2000 season tickets last season.

There was an article on the official site which said we'd sold just shy of 2,000 last summer. Not sure where or who you've got your info from but it's wrong.

Misterb beat me too it, we were 79 off 2,000 sales in the middle of July. I'd say that was close, especially given we'd have sold a good few more in the month between then and the season.

Even 2,000 is quite disappointing like. Can totally see why this seasons offer has been put forward to try and put that right

With the last few seasons can you really expect all these people to convince their otherhalfs that this season is going to be any better or disillusioned fans for that matter it's alright for MW to put down this challenge but getting the money is another matter I am not talking about myself here but for others that may find it harder then you have after all it is hard times we are going though and £100 is a lot of money to some. Some like to pick the games that they go to as well as aford so think of them because they make up a large poportion of the crowd that dont want or can't aford season tickets. And like I have said before yes we have some good reserve team players but what about the first team we need a first tream or is this it? if so 4000 tickets may be hard to get.

If we don't get 4,000 tickets they might as well close the club down.

Total at the end of today was 878 which is more than I'd expected, I thought it might slow down a little with it being midweek. We still look well on course for getting 1,000 by Friday.

could it be IOR are trying to gauge what sort of support there is in the town with the latest offer, I will be very disappointed if we don't reach the 4000 considering we had 17000 at the Millennium.

If we can't get 4,000 season tickets when we're effectively giving them away then there's absolutely no hope in hell for us. At these prices it's going to be more expensive to get the bus to and from the ground than the ticket itself.

Yes you are right. I was being a little mischievous. (For the first time ever.)

Day 8.
878 tickets sold. That's 22% of 4000 after 15% of available sales days.

The average number of sales needed per day for the remaining 45 sales days stays at 69.5 per day. (The original average needed, revised to take account of the extra Saturday openings, was 75.5 per day.)

The target for Day 8 was 604.
878 is 45% (274) ahead of target for Day 8.
We're well ahead of the targets for Days 9 (679), 10 (754) & 11 (830) too.

If sales are maintained at this rate, the 4000 target will be met by Sales Day 37, nearly 3 weeks before deadline day.

I didn't realise we sold under 2000 s/tickets last season. That's a bit alarming. What I'd like to know is how many of the tickets sold since the offer have been to existing s/t holders.....then you'd get a clearer picture of the offer take-up.
