The Mail reports Harrison is doubling the training of the Pools squad. So now apart from being not very good they will also be knackered when they turn out on Saturday. I dunno who we are playing but I dont anticipate a good result.

What’s it in aid of? If it’s working on problems all well and good, if it’s ironing out personal and playing issues fine. If it’s sole design is to [covertly] penalise poor performances it’s likely to not have the desired effect. In fact it’ll probably have an adverse affect on a, possibly, already fragile dressing room.

According to the same article in the Mail the players have all bought into the extra sessions. We'll see on Saturday if there is any positive effects.

Apart from the fact that Harrison has to be seen to be doing something I can’t see any point in dragging an already injury-prone squad out for additional training sessions. Unless Harrison really is the numpty that many fans believe he is he surely must by know in his heart that this group of players is inadequate for the task in hand and should be concentrating his efforts in shipping players out like Hignett did this time last year. Not that Hignetts policy achieved anything in the end of course.
