Would appear to be working for West Ham, Everton, Crystal Palace, and even Sunderland. Though not so successfully for Birmingham!

I strongly believe that Pools need a change of philosophy before the end of Adeloye, and Thorne's short term contracts and the loan period for Keith Watson. Those funds, when they become available, must be spent wisely to bolster the squad to avoid the potential for being dragged into the mire of yet another relegation battle.

We appear to be in free fall. It will be difficult to stop whoever takes over and given who we are and where we are it will not be Pep Guardiola.

As per usual the owners have ignored the views of the fans - I have been banging on about the inadequacies of Harrison for around 3 months - and will now reap what they have sewn. Unfortunately neither the current owners nor the players give a flying fcuk about the club therefore it is the likes of us that continue to suffer as we DO actually care about our club.

Ah Joe you never cease to amuse. You say you were banging on about Harrison's short-comings from three months ago. That would be mid September right ? Just to review results from around that time; Having had a bad start to the season we lost 2-0 to Fylde on 26th August. Results after that went WWWDWLDWWWDDW up to the away win at Torquay on 28th October. That would probably be automatic promotion form.

In the middle of that run I remember posting a message asking where all the doom-mongers had gone since we heard hardly a peep out of several regulars - yourself included.

I am pleased that i keep you amused BS, I find that i don't have to try TOO hard in your case. However, I do accept that I was badly wrong in my estimation of timescale. I have actually been 'banging on about Harrison's shortcomings' since the beginning of the season. I have neither the time nor inclination to argue with your obvious fettish for stats (sounds familiar) therefore I will take your comments at face value, although I do concede that you appear to have a (selective) great memory sunshine.

I was out of the country for four weeks or so earlier this season which partly coincided with Harrison's side actually winning some games. However, I also accept that for a short period during the unbeaten run that even I thought that maybe just maybe Harrison did actually have something in his locker that I had failed to recognise.

As everyone (even you) must surely concede that performances have since reverted to the type that we have been enforced to become accustomed to over more years than I care to remember to reach this, the current lowest point in the clubs history - meaning that I was correct about Harrison all along.

So, rather than boasting about irrelevant messages posted several months back how about commenting on topical current events and enlighting us all with your 'must hear' opinion of what should happen next - just in case I disappear again and happen to miss something?

Craig Harrison has "vowed to fight on". So I guess we should all prepare for a miserable Christmas as far as Pools are concerned.

Not sure how CH can engineer a change in fortunes with the current players available to him. Pools have lacked dynamism/energy for several seasons and the latest recruits haven't addressed this shortcoming!
We currently play 4 3 3 but it is too narrow a formation and leaves the fullbacks exposed. In central defence, with the exception of Watson, there is no dominant players and all are easily bullied or exposed for pace by opposition forwards. Similar problems exist in midfield.

Saturday's game is a must win if slender hopes of the play-offs is to be maintained. For me he has to go 4 4 2, bring in Josh Hawks to provide energy and, hopefully, some crosses into the box for our centre forward.

Loach
Richardson, Donnelly, Ledger, Deverderics
Hawks, Woods, Newton, Oates
Cassidy, Adeloye

Subs: anyone who is fit

I honestly cannot see any way out of this mess at present - no combination of the currently available players is going to make a blind bit of difference to the outcome of Saturday’s game against a well organised and confident part-time outfit. Couple this with a ‘manager’ who has clearly lost the plot - if indeed he ever actually had it in his possession - and owners who by their silence ad therefo perceived apathy appear to have lost interest in the club - and you have an impending disaster that may even eclipse the events of last season.

I recall from the televised match early in the season that Maidenhead have some quick forwards so I expect Harrison and Laing will exposed leading to the inevitable. Their CF was also big and physical so no doubt our snowflake central defenders will be bullied as well as outpaced.
