4-0. That qualifies as "a right dicking". Quite excited to hear Craig Harrison's excuses/ sorry post match observations. In recent weeks we have played Aldershot, Macclesfield, and Dover all promotion contenders and we have been shown up every time.

We’re now closer to fourth bottom than we are to third top. The side in that fourth bottom spot are ironically the only other team Dover scored four against. We know our place!!!

It’s now official we are going backwards, what happens to arrest the slide?

I said we’d get summat out of the game, didn’t expect it to be a slugging like.

Wonder if Asda need shelf stackers for the Christmas period

Just read the report in the Mail. It seems we dominated possession again. Funny isnt it?Again and again Pools dominate possession but the opposition keep scoring and we cant hit a cows a rse with a banjo unless we are playing Halifax. The next few games are against lower half teams so lets hope we can get enough points to not worry about relegation. The problem is that once on a downward spiral it gets harder to stop it. Just a bit worried we might start getting done by teams near the bottom.

Sadly the game ended in the drubbing I feared!
Where Pools go from this I don't know, though I'm starting to reconsider my reservations about Smokin Joe's perspective, defeat next weekend at Workington in the Trophy match must see drastic action from the Owners (Pam).

First stage of said spiral is downturn in results - tick.
Second stage, players losing discipline - tick.

Make no mistake we’re in a mess, let’s not give the green light to stage 3 - “getting done by teams near the bottom”

Not a comfortable position for anyone connected with HUFC.

No disrespect to them but we should have enough to see off Workington. Players should be up for it, only a show of defiance by the players, individually or collectively should lose us the game. I would have to question the professionalism of the players if this were the case.

Any lack of effort on the field would surely be a gesture of disrespect toward the paying public.

Isnt that what happened in the Barnet game at the Vic last season? I'm praying dont reach that stage again.

Just looked at the last three results, (pools score first) 0-3, 1-2 and 0-4.
Shocking really........9 against and only the single reply...tells it’s own story.

Or maybe, as with the Barnet game, a gesture of disrespect to the numpty in the dugout.

He’s probably got two games left, even Ebeneezer wouldn’t have sacked Bob Cratchit on Boxing Day (surmising we lose to Gateshead).

On Smokin Joe’s perspective, it worked for Bristol Rovers and Darrell Clarke. Almost two hundred games in charge, a couple of promotions, a man wanted at championship level. Mind he had a bit of a shaky start.

It’s football it’s about taking a punt, gambling on the chance it might come off. Sometimes you win most times you lose but what you haven’t got is time.
