A couple of changes today, particularly in defence, looks like it may have allowed the front two a bit of freedom as both Oates and Franks get on the scoresheet.

2-0 pools with less than twenty minutes left.

Held onto one of the leads from earlier this week and we’d be 6th top, holding on to them both would have meant we’d be sitting third.

Harrison will be pretty pleased tonight, he’s earned it imo, he’s not the messiah, he’s not without fault but he has summat about him and it is a pretty steep learning curve. Possibly the ability to keep his head when all around are losing theirs. Don’t think it started as he’d expected but I think it’s panning out pretty much as he’d planned, after said poor start and it’s sitting up nicely.

Six points off top, three points off a “real” play off berth, keep doing what we’re doing, we’re moving in the right direction and staying with the pack, dare I say without really seeing our best eleven in their strongest positions.

Plus invaluable confidence building particularly going against a league club in the FA cup next week and with national league action against teams currently around us throughout November, it promises to be an exciting month.

Maintaining our form/momentum could well see us climb over a couple of sides in our push for the top, should it all go to plan. We’re not the finished article but medals are not given out or trophies awarded in November.
