I notice that from today it is now no longer possible to leave a comment on the various stories appearing on the online Mail. This of course applies to stories about Pools. I dont know if this is deliberate policy or a technical glitch but I cant help wondering if they were getting anxious about the ever growing number of critical comments about Pools and Craig Harrison.

I would sincerely hope that it is only a technical glitch Alfa. The highly entertaining contributor comments represent the ONLY reason for visiting the Online Mail site and will serve to nullify the constant stream of inane 'football speak' emanating from Harrison and the players. If this a ploy to enable the club to retract into their little 'Planet Football' bubble in order to avoid public criticism then they will find that they will soon further alienate the fanbase .

Did it really serve any purpose other than an opportunity for fans to exercise their individual chimps?

They are also, this morning, reporting Amond's exit will be as early as today, with potential replacement(s) lined up for not only want away Amond but injured Laing (and hopefully resting Harrison).

It wasn't just Pools though. I enjoyed the opportunity to have may say on other issues raised in the Mail.

Don't think the removal of comments on Pools stories is related to the Club, would appear the Mail have stopped ALL comments on their website.

Do not underestimate the value of HUFC to sales of the Mail within the town. The owners. manager, coaching staff and players have all deservedly come under heavy criticism by contributors following Pools pathetic start to the season. The impending sale of Amond was seemingly instigated by Hapless Harrison last week and criticism of him would have gone into overload on the Mails pages by now. The Mails sister Johnstone Press paper the Sunderland Echo is still operating its 'Have your Say' facility so why is this option not currently available to the good citizens of Hartlepool? No apologies or even acknowledgment- the KGB censorship machine is seemingly alive and well in the Mail editorial team - I smell a rat.
