Pools have played five games in the National league and five times the opposition have scored first. Looks like third loss out of five games this afternoon with us two down with five minutes to go. Losing our League status was devastating but the misery gets worse every time we take to the field Harrison must go.

Couldn't agree more on all points.

I can only go by what I have seen on the 'highlights' and I use the term loosely in case anyone from trades descriptions are reading. We are very pedestrian in the minutes I have seen.

Harrison admitted after the Dover game we are not reacting to situations quick enough, either when defending or attacking.

After the Maidenhead game, three games in, he admitted in his interview we continue to give teams a head start. Two games later nothing has changed we are still chasing games!

He admitted after the Chester game we are poor in front of goal - we hit the bar three times, surely it would be easier to hit an area the size of the goal than the width of the crossbar?? in the same interview he also intimated to how poor we are at set pieces/deadball situations wasting, I think, 5 free kicks and eleven corners - revert back to Dover game, we are not reacting first to any situations. There is loads there to work on just from those points.

Conceding first and having to continually play catch up tells it's own story - the defence is not good enough, the front players cannot hold onto the ball and the midfield is so weak the opposition are strolling through games.
Finally, Harrison must go - i'm not even convinced he is a footballer never mind a central defender.

Actually when I said Harrison must go I was thinking of the manager.Harrison the defender is poor but I dont blame him for the tactics, lack of goal scoring and general poor quality of the team: that is down to the manager.

I know, I just couldn't help myself sorry.

Haven't seen any national league football involving Pools yet so looking forward to Saturday and seeing how we line up and who we use.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of cohesion at the minute, does seem to be a bit of finding your feet amongst a lot of the players......and the manager.......once it clicks and all that.

Unlike many I didn't have any great expectations of a speedy return to the FL , sadly after 5 games even my modest hope of finishing in the top 10 would appear beyond reach!

Can't score, don't compete, poorly organised, deluded about their own ability. Manager seems to think he is a tactical genius as he changes formation every game!

The next 2 games have now become MUST WIN , failure to do so and there will have to be a change to the management team
I feel sure an attempt will be made to disguise today's failings as being due to the disruption caused by Amond's actions - don't believe it.

What were Amond's actions?

Said he wasn't available to play. It appears Newport are interested in signing him. Cant blame the lad for wanting away from this embarrassing club.

Doesn't say a lot for his ambition if he wants to go to Newport. Or maybe he feels he's getting his nose pushed out by Jake Cassidy (harrison's first signing).
Club is well rid of anyone who doesn't want to fight for them.

At least Newport are in the EFL. If he does ok for them he could get signed by a bigger club. If he stays with Pools he will most likely end in the National League North.

If Podge is set on leaving, and it doesn't appear to be a snap decision as he put in a transfer request a month ago, then move him on and get some money in the club's coffers.
I think, for us fans, of more interest is WHY does he want to leave is it because:
- he wants to be closer to family, going to Newport would suggest otherwise
- he can get more money
- he sees a season of struggle ahead
- he doesn't rate the new manager and his team
- doesn't fancy playing as a loan striker getting lumps kicked out of him every week (remember he's played in the NL so knows what to expect)
- is less than impressed with the club's summer recruitment.

A lot of questions but I doubt we'll ever know the answers!

Yep. He'll leave for "an undisclosed fee" and that will be that. Meanwhile on the pitch things go from bad to worse.
