Down but Pride shown

We are all grieving but I want to say we showed passion and determination which would have had us promoted if we had shown it throughout the season. We didnt get relegated today we got relegated at Orient, Morcambe and at the Vic against Barnet. Coxall's appointment of Jones was the key factor in all of this.

Rodney was a revelation and full credit to Bates for his subs.

I'm off to drown my sorrows and find out where the heck Gueisly is.

The lads certainly gave their all in today's game, sadly it was too late to save our League status. Hard to fathom why such endeavour and desire wasn't on show previously!

As I went to the match today I hoped for two things:
- a decent performance, and
- a goal
Both were delivered.

Very impressed by Oates he gave everything he had to the cause. He's the type of player we need to hold on to. Magnay also worked his bollox off.Rodney was a revelation. If he can do that regularly we wont have him for long. They all put in max effort .

Got to congratulate Newport Co on survival, they were dead and buried at one point (if only they'd persevered with Graham Westley) but fought to keep their League Status.

Yes I agree with that. I dont begrudge them their survival. They put together a phenomenal run. The highlight for me was them scraping a 1-0 win after being slaughtered 6-1 previous game. They had the never say die attitude found in Pools teams of the past and which we have seen little of (with the exception of today) this season.

I am really depressed about the whole thing. Isnt it typical we go down in the cruelest way possible. Great win over class opposition, feel good factor then Newport score in the 90th minute. If some evil force wanted to make Poolies suffer as much as possible, they would have chosen today's sequence of events. Gutted.
