Notwithstanding any other significance attaching to this game, it will be Pools' last night home game of this season.
Who knows possibly the last in the EFL!

I can remember, in recent years, night games being something special at the Vic hopefully this game too can have that special atmosphere.

An absolute must win game. Newport not playing and Orient have a tough game away at Stevenage.

We could have a six point gap come close of play.

Accrington, Cheltenham and Notts County all have tough games on Tuesday as well.

Last chance for a win in February. Not winning will take our average wins to one per month, in real terms the first month we will have failed to register a league win. Uncharacteristically winning twice in one month, November.

Frightening really as we have two draws from six games under the 'new regime'. Two points from a possible eighteen and we don't look to be improving, we're not even treading water. We do look to be going backwards, particularly regarding league position. If there is a hidden agenda those running the club seem to be hellbent on fulfilling its objectives.

Would Hignett have got more from the squad?
