Not being a follower of Jones' footballing past I have no idea what his preferences are formation wise but I think we have enough on the books to play at least two up top.

Amond and Rooney for me. Amond cos he's into double figures, Rooney cos he missed out on Tuesday night and will be wanting to make amends.

Back four will pick itself but I would like to see Martin given more game time.

Midfield, Kavanagh similar player to Carroll, can play on the left [but will start at left back] as can Deverdics. Both Hawkins and Allessandra look heavy legged of late, Walker hot and/or cold, Woods carrying a knock. Featherstone and two or three others??

Think he'll go 4-4-2 and if we need to later he'll go 4-3-3. I expect a few changes from his starting position possibly a bench where most of them have to be home before it's dark.

Just to get my post count up...........pools will score two, Amond and Rooney, it's up to our defence how many they are willing to allow Yeovil to get.

I think Yeovil might nick it. Probably 1-2.

I don't think Dave Jones will have brought Rooney in for him just to be another bench warmer. Also, I anticipate that there will be a change in tactics from 4 3 3, how this will work I'm not so sure, perhaps 4 2 3 1.
Whilst Yeovil having won in midweek wasn't the best result, for Pools, at least in won't mean the game in a "banana skin" game against opposition who haven't won in 10, or whatever it would have been.
Hoping for a Pools victory, but fully expect it to be a draw

Pools 1 Yeovil 1

Guess my goalscorer forecast was off target, Deverderics not included in the squad.
Three changes to the lineup with both recent loanees included from the kick off, not sure about formation could be 4 2 4, 4 4 2 or my initial thought of 4 2 3 1. Anyhow, I can't get there this afternoon but hope those who go see a positive performance from Pools and a goal or two scored by our forwards.

Quick question....who gave away the penalty ? Donnelly or Nelson were in the frame of those around me in the town end.

Should he have been in that position? Sometimes we are our own worse enemies, defending deep, causing our own problems.

As mentioned earlier I couldn't make it today, can any who were there give an insight on how we played?

Personally I thought we played quite well against a side who beat second place midweek.

From the town end couldn't really see how we set up. Looked 4-3-3 to me, with Rooney, Amond and Allessandra up top, a view from the Cyril or Millhouse would give more of a clearer picture.

Allessandra had a poor first half but improved in the second, unlucky to get hooked really. All it needed was a swap, Nelson for Allessandra. I thought we actually looked poorer with the introduction of Thomas.
We did our usual sitting back and inviting pressure allowing the opposition back into the game and almost controlling where it goes.

Those players in 4-3-3 with midfield of Featherstone, Walker and Allessandra and a front three of Rooney, Amond and Nelson would give Mansfield a decent game next week.
