Hartlepool Loan Liverpool Defender

Hartlepool Loan Liverpool Defender

Danny Wilson has added another defender to his squad for the new season after signing Godwin Antwi on a season long loan from Liverpool.

The 19-year-old faced Pools at Victoria Park last season during a 2 month loan spell at Accrington Stanley.

Antwi plays in central defence and was born in Ghana, he moved to Anfield from Spanish side Real Zaragoza in August 2005.

It's a good signing for Pools, we needed some cover in centre half but this guy looks like he could challenge Nelse and Clarky for a first team spot. Accrington fans were gutted with the news he wouldn't be re-joining Stanley.

will he be any good but, its hard to say, a premeriship club loanin out players is always a good thing but they might take the small size of the club to heart and not play as well as they could do
