James Back In Training

Luke James has decided that it would be best to return to work, with him now back in training with Hartlepool.

After handing in a second transfer request the 'want away striker' took it upon himself to miss training on Thursday and Friday last week, which put him out of consideration for the Dagenham.

Bank Holiday Monday saw the squad given a day off but he was back in training with the rest of the squad on Tuesday, his future is still far from certain though with an exit likely to be something that he is still pursuing but that depends on Peterborough's continued interest and them reaching our valuation of the 19 year old.

It's a shame that James decided to 'go on strike' as, even if he wants to move on which I can understand why he would, that wasn't the way to go about it.

Will he be fined? The club haven't commented on that and I think perhaps that is the right thing to do but he most definitely should be as not only would you or I face financial punishment if we just decided not to turn up for work we would probably also be sacked!

A line can be drawn under this with certain things forgiven but not forgotten.

Focus on your football Luke, offer up a sincere and honest apology and then do what you do best and see where this takes you but it's important for him to remember he has a contract, a new and improved one that he choose to sign in the summer, so he needs to honour this until such a time comes that all parties feel an acceptable offer has come in for him.
