Cooper Looking Forward To Tough Test

Cooper Looking Forward To Tough Test

Manager Colin Cooper has aid the players will certainly know they've been in a game tomorrow when we face off against Bradford Park Avenue in our latest pre season friendly.

We travel to the Horsfall Stadium for a 3pm kick off and Cooper admitted to the Official Site that he'd already spoken to their gaffer John Deacey and they are relishing the challenge ahead and the return of Michael Duckworth, so he knows we are going to be in for a game.

'I spoke with John yesterday to say we're looking forward to the game and they're all looking forward to seeing Michael again too. The one thing we know is that we'll have a game on our hands, they finished 10th in the Conference North last season so they're a decent side so we'll need to expand on what we did the other night and hopefully get better.'

Cooper admitted that training today had been focused on the game ahead, but mainly on what we will do rather than countering anything they might, because we already know they are going to try and play right because Deacey is a football man and he knows the ball is going to be knocked around nicely by them, so it's how we handle that and then impose ourselves.

At the time of giving the interview Cooper said he hadn't yet decided on his starting line up, or if he had, he wasn't giving anything away but he did expect to include trialists Eugen Bopp and Biko Bradnock-Brennan again, and he also confirmed that decision had been taken when it came to Tommy Miller and Michael Woods who have been training with the squad this week - in terms of them playing not a permanent deal yet.

'I have promised Biko and Eugen that they will start the game and then we'll make a decision afterwards. I'll have a conversation with Tommy and Michael. I suppose it's a bit of a gamble playing in a trial game with the risk of getting injured, but at some point if they want to be involved I'd like to give them a chance.'

Thank you chairman

I can't decide whether he was sacked or left by mutual consent whatever that means today. I hope Collins moves to new pastures, as he is a common link with failed Pools managers.

Ronnie No Moore

Did he jump or was he pushed? The official line is Moore has left by mutual consent, either way Pools are looking for a new manager after a parting of ways.

Moore Devastation Following Stevenage

Having called on the team to 'get at' Stevenage last night, Hartlepool fell to yet another defeat yesterday evening.
