Trialists Chance To Impress

Trialists Chance To Impress

Hartlepool have taken Eugene Bopp and Biko Bradnock-Brennan on trial this summer with them given the chance to earn themselves contracts at the Vic this season.

Coops has so far brought in Matthew Bates and Stuart Parnaby but former Nottingham Forest and Crewe midfielder Bopp, who can also play in defence, and former Blackpool youth defender Bradnock-Brennan are a couple that will be given a chance to impress the manager.

These two aren't the only ones that Coops will look at with him telling sportmail that he has his eye on some others too, be them trialists loan signings or permanent arrivals.

'Biko is a centre-half, Eugene is technically very good and I've agreed to have a look at them.

There's a couple more I've got my eye on over the next couple of weeks, who may take part in our pre-season friendlies.'

Trialists are commonplace but Coops is keen not to be overrun by too many though as he feels you can waste too much time on others that aren't ever really that likely to sign but having got advice from a former teammate Gary Parkinson, who was in charge of the Blackpool youth team, and Marlon Harewood who played with Bopp at Forest he wanted to give them a chance.

Coops also spoke about James Poole, who could move to America or Australia after leaving the Vic, who he admits wasn't consistent enough with him someone that he feels he can replace with someone better, with respect.
