Hartlepool Miss Out?

Hartlepool spent plenty of time tracking Jordan Deacey last season but Coops could be beaten to his signing by Scunthorpe?

The Northern Echo is reporting that the League 1 side are planning a move for him and this could see us missing out on the Bradford Park Avenue midfielder as a result, which could end up coming back to haunt us.

We had him on trial last season, with him regularly turning out for the reserves, but unlike Michael Duckworth we didn't move to wrap up his signing and as a result it looks like that ship might just have sailed.

Bradford Park Avenue have a great relationship with us, with Deacey's father a friend of Coops, but they've got to do what's best for them as a club does Deacey himself and the chance to play at League 1 level might be too good to refuse?

It's always a chance you take with trialists but a lesson might be learned from this as we've spent time, effort and most importantly of all money on having him on trial but this could well come to someone else's benefit now.
