Coops - Keep The Feel Good Factor Going

Coops - Keep The Feel Good Factor Going

Manager Colin Cooper has called on the team to keep our feel good factor going following on from the win against Morecambe in our last game.

Having brought an end to our six match unbeaten run, the gaffer now wants the team to build on our last win and end the season on a high and with wins to offset what a disappointing campaign it had turned into.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the Plymouth game this weekend, Cooper called on the team to now go out on a high having secured our League 2 status now.

'We're free from the pressure that people were putting on themselves. For me, it was the win we needed in the grand scheme of things but I didn't have the same negative feelings as other people and I genuinely mean that. I was disappointed with how the last five weeks had gone, especially at Portsmouth and Burton, but I think the ending of the game on Monday made for a bit more excitement for our fans.'

Cooper goes on to say that what's important now is we build on that, and we take that performance and level of effort into the Plymouth game now and again give the fans something to cheer about, as he knows we haven't done that nearly often enough lately.

Of course, the Plymouth game is also the annual fancy dress day, and the gaffer says he's looking forward to seeing nigh on 200 fans dressed as Thunderbirds, by joking that hopefully we won't need 'International Rescue' by the end of full time.
