Are You Worried Yet?

Just a few short weeks ago, having gone on a good run of form, we were talking about Hartlepool making it into the play offs.

Now we're battling to stay in the Football League once again.

The latest defeat on Saturday has left Hartlepool just three points above the League 2 relegation zone with our fixtures all against sides that literally, like ourselves, have plenty to play for.

Burton are first up and as much as they'll now be secured of a play off place of their own they'll still harbour outside hopes of making the top three, with them also losing on Saturday they've got to beat us at the Pirelli Stadium.

The Vic will bring us home advantage against Morecambe who are dropping faster than a Hartlepool stone at the moment. This will be a real relegation six pointer.

Plymouth Argyle away in the penultimate game sees as taking on a side that are still in with a play off chance and they'll also know this is a game they have to win and would fancy their chances of beating us at Home Park.

It all ends at the Vic, it quite literally could end up being winner takes all when we play Exeter.

I wasn't one that ever really thought we'd quite have enough to make the play offs, I hoped we could, but was happy with a nice midtable finish but now I'm starting to get a little twitchy at our form and more concerned when I had a proper look at our remaining fixtures.

It's surprising how quickly the table changes with a win, it's that tight, but it could also look even worse if we can't get some good points over the Easter weekend.
