Walker Wins LFE League 2 Award
For a second season running Hartlepool are celebrating a player winning an Apprentice of the Year award at the Football League awards ceremony, which took place in London on Sunday evening.
Brad Walker has picked up the LFE League 2 Apprentice of the Year.
Walker has made a big impression on the first team this season with the 17 year old breaking into the Hartlepool team under Coops, which has also seen him involved for England at youth level too and the interest in clubs playing at a higher level growing.
He wins this award to follow on from Hartlepool teammate Luke James winning the League 1 Apprentice of the Year last season, with James missing out on another this season in the Goal of the Year category to Coventry's Franck Moussa.
This award will only see interest in Walker grow even more.
Hopefully though he'll see the sense in staying at the Vic for a couple of years longer and we'll be able to resist the temptation of selling him, unfortunately I think we all know that if 'an offer too good to refuse' comes in then he'll most likely have to go.
