No Serious Duckworth Injury

No Serious Duckworth Injury

The sight of Michael Duckworth being forced off just minutes into his Hartlepool return was as much of a disappointment as the defeat itself at Northampton on Saturday.

Duckworth was making his first start since his double hernia operation coming back into the side in place of Jordan Richards but after only six minutes of playing time, and a further five minutes of treatment time for Duckworth before he was stretchered off, Richards was replacing him.

Positively though sportmail reported that Duckworth's x-rays confirmed no break and even though on crutches he travelled back to Hartlepool on the team coach. I still don't think we'll be seeing Michael for a while though.

Luke Williams and Jack Barmby did too but Williams has played his last game for us with Middlesbrough recalling the winger at the end of his loan at the Vic but Barmby should have his loan from Manchester United extended this week.
