Evan Horwood Heads Hartlepool Exit List

Evan Horwood is one of six players to be released after Hartlepool United announced their retained list.

The 27-year-old is the only first team player to be released after a season which saw Hartlepool finish second bottom of League One.

He joins youth and fringe players Nathan Buddle, Paul Johnson, Nathan Luscombe, Adam McHugh and Colin Nish on the Victoria Park exit list.

The club has extended the contracts of Neil Austin, Lewis Hawkins and James Poole and is in discussions with other players, including Sam Collins, Ritchie Humphreys and Andy Monkhouse, over new contracts.
