Craig Short, Colin Cooper In Talks With Hartlepool

Craig Short and Colin Cooper are both thought to be in talks with Hartlepool United over the managerial vacancy at the club.

Cooper, Short and fellow candidate Phil Brown were all seen in the stands during Hartlepool's game with Tranmere at Victoria Park last night.

Cooper, who has been linked with the Pools job in the past, is currently a coach at Middlesbrough but is known to be keen to make his first steps into management.

Former Blackburn man Short was also watching the game, and has also been interviewed for the role. His most recent managerial position was at Notts County, he is currently part of the scouting team at Derby County.
