Reports Link Sven-Goran Eriksson With Hartlepool

Former England and Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has been linked with a shock move to Hartlepool by newspapers in Sweden.

Eriksson, currently a technical director at a Thai side, is reported to have been approached by the Hartlepool board about the vacant position at Victoria Park.

The former England boss is known to be keen to manage in the country once again. While such a move seems unlikely, Pools' Norwegian owners share a Scandinavian link with Eriksson.

Eriksson is quoted as saying: ''We'll see what happens, I have not heard anything more about this.''
