Pools Retain Interest In Sunderland's Ryan Noble

Hartlepool United are keeping tabs on Sunderland striker Ryan Noble once more after the departure of Colin Nish from Victoria Park.

The Scottish forward completed a loan move to Dundee yesterday, with Pools boss Neale Cooper now eager to use the freed up funds to bring in a new player.

Cooper retains an interest in Sunderland attacker Noble, who spent three months on loan at the club last season, but must wait to see if the Black Cats' proposed signing of Steven Fletcher from Wolves can be completed before making a move for Noble.

Despite being handed a first team squad number at the Stadium of Light this summer, Noble has fallen down the pecking order after the signing of Louis Saha and the arrival of Fletcher would see his first team chances even more restricted.
