Steve Haslam On Trial With Burton Albion
Former Hartlepool United defender Steve Haslam has joined League Two side Burton Albion on trial.
The versatile defender was released by Pools boss Neale Cooper after a three year spell at Victoria Park, and has joined the Brewers in hope of winning a contract for next season.
Haslam, who played across the back four and as a defensive midfielder during his spell with the club, played the second half of Burton's friendly with Gresley FC, helping them to a convincing 4-0 victory.
Signed by Chris Turner in the summer of 2009, the former Sheffield Wednesday player made 63 appearances for Hartlepool.
