Ex-Hartlepool Favourite Becomes Peterborough Coach
Former Hartlepool United favourite Gavin Strachan has stepped into the role of first team coach at Peterborough.
The former Coventry man, now 33, spent four years at Victoria Park between 2003 and 2007 and had previously been part of the youth set-up at London Road.
Strachan has been a part of the youth team coaching department at Peterborough since last summer but following the departure of coach Mark Robson, the former midfielder has been given the chance to step up by Posh manager Darren Ferguson.
He told theposh.com: ''All I have done so far is put Gavin Strachan into the role vacated by Mark. I want to see how the lad gets on. It is consistent in terms of he knows how we work.''
