Cooper Eyes New Bid For Sunderland's Ryan Noble

Hartlepool United retain an interest in bringing Sunderland striker Ryan Noble back to Victoria Park on loan.

Noble spent the end of last season on loan with Neale Cooper's side, and the Pools boss is said to be interested in bringing him back to the club.

A handful of Championship sides are also monitoring the player, but Cooper says he's eager to bring him back to the club.

''He was a pleasure to have, and I`m not ruling it out that he will come back.

''I think it's important he goes back to Sunderland and sees what the position is. If they're not ready to play him, I'll take him in a minute.'' he told the Sunday Sun.

Noble is set to join the Black Cats squad on their pre-season tour of Asia, but Cooper says he's been in contact with Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill to praise the player.

''I told Sunderland what he was like. When he came here they said he plays on the shoulder, he'll score goals, but the other part of his game is not that great - coming off, playing it wide. But that part of his game has improved.

''I told Martin (O`Neill, Sunderland's manager) the part of his game that I was told he wasn't really good at, I felt he did really well at come the end of the season.''
