Middlesbrough To Visit Hartlepool For Friendly

Hartlepool United have confirmed another pre-season friendly, with Middlesbrough set to visit Victoria Park in July.

After confirming a game with Premier League side Sunderland last week, Pools will host Championship side Boro on Tuesday 31st July.

Hartlepool boss Neale Cooper told the official site that he was pleased to line-up another friendly against local opposition.

''I've said before that I want us to have a strong relationship with our neighbours so we're delighted that Middlesbrough will be coming to play us in pre season.

''I enjoyed a really positive meeting with Tony Mowbray a couple of months ago so I'm looking forward to welcoming him to The Vic.''

With a tour of the Netherlands confirmed and a provisional date set for a trip to York, Pools' pre-season schedule is beginning to take shape.
