Hartlepool Battle With Aberdeen For Inverness Star
Hartlepool United face a battle with Aberdeen for the signature of Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger Jonny Hayes.
Winger Hayes has been offered a new deal with Scottish Premier League side Inverness but looks set to leave when his contract expires this summer.
Fellow SPL side Aberdeen were thought to be leading the race for his signature but Pools have now entered the race, with Neale Cooper listing the left winger as one of his top summer targets. League One side Colchester are also thought to be monitoring the player's situation.
Irish-born Hayes started his career in England with Reading but has attracted plaudits since his move to Inverness in 2009 where he has scored 25 goals in 99 appearances from the left wing.
