'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Noble Would Love To Stay At Hartlepool Next Year

Sunderland striker Ryan Noble has given the biggest indication yet that he'd like to stay at Hartlepool next season, saying he would 'love' to extend his stay at Victoria Park.

Noble has scored twice since joining from the Black Cats in March and has admitted he has loved the experience.

''Winning on Saturday was so vital and it was important to score as I've not scored here when the fans have been great to me.

''It's been a good experience for me, the first time I've felt part of a professional team, the first run in a team I've had. I've been out to places and it's not worked out, but this has been great.''

Noble arrived with the club struggling to find the net, and admits he's found League One football to be of a higher standard than he expected.

''I thought I would come here, knowing Hartlepool were struggling to score and thought I'd do it straight away. Then every time I didn't score I was feeling bad for the team.

''I scored at Yeovil which was unreal, my first one and it won the game, but this was better - I've not scored for a few games and it starts to get to you.''

''I think I'll go back to Sunderland a better player for this. There's some big lads in this league, centre-backs, and you have to put yourself about a bit.

''I'd love to come back here next year, the chance to play every week is much better than going anywhere else and left wondering. It's right on my doorstep as well and it's a club and set of lads I really like.''
he told the Northern Echo.
