Boyd Notches Winner For Reserves At Gateshead

Boyd Notches Winner For Reserves At Gateshead

Adam Boyd scored the only goal of the game as Hartlepool Reserves beat Gateshead Reserves at the International Stadium tonight.

The game on Tyneside saw the return of Colin Nish following knee surgery and the striker played the full 90 minutes.

There was also a place in the starting line-up for trialist Jamie Poole who started the game at left back.

Pools dominated much of the game and should have been ahead well before Boyd tapped home a chance in the second half following Callum Hassan's blocked effort.

FT: Gateshead Reserves 0 Hartlepool Reserves 1

Hartlepool: Rafferty, Richards, Baldwin, Rowbotham, Jamie Poole, Brown (Dodds 82), Luscombe, Hawkins (Rutherford 75), Boyd, Nish, Hassan (Holden 64).
