Reserves Beaten By Middlesbrough
Hartlepool United Reserves were comfortably beaten by their Middlesbrough counterparts in last night's reserve team clash.
It was the Boro who dominated proceedings, creating numerous chances in the first half. Pools team contained Ritchie Humphreys, Adam Boyd and Fabian Yantorno but it was Michael Mackay who had the best chance of the half as his header went just wide of the post.
Andrew Halliday finally broke the deadlock for the visitors, he fired home a powerful shot past Liam Mooney after good build-up play with Lee Miller.
Pools were unable to turn the game round in the second half as Boro continued to boss the game, again it was Mackay who had Pools best effort but he was flagged offside.
Boro completed their win late on in the game as Cameron Park slotted the ball past Mooney to keep Boro's second string at the top of the table.
