Boyd Injured In Hartlepool Reserves Draw

Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd was forced off with an ankle injury as Pools reserves drew with Hull today.

Boyd was injured after just 5 minutes of the game at North Ferriby, the referee awarded a penalty which was successfully converted by Leon McSweeney to give Pools the lead.

Hull came back soon after when Dylan Purvis gave away a penalty and former Darlington man Jamie Devitt slotted home the spot kick.

But Pools were in front again when the man who replaced Boyd, Callum Hassan, grabbed his first goal for Pools reserves. The youngster used his pace to beat the Hull defence and slot home before scoring again to make it 3-1 with a finish at the back post.

The home side came back after the break and another goal from Devitt and a Peter Halmosi striker meant both sides had to settle for a point.

could you add together all the goals scored by the rest of the squad please ? Hmm it seems boyd has scored more Strikers play on confidence and there isnt much of that at our club because some fans boo at every opportunity, We could beat man utd 7-1 and some fans would be complaining about them getting the 1 !!
