H'Angus Stars In New BBC TV Advert: Watch It Here

Hartlepool United's very own club mascot H'Angus has been given a starring role in a new BBC Sport advert.

H'Angus stars in the commercial for the BBC's new regional Football League programme, Late Kick Off, which starts a week today.

The North East edition will be hosted by Mark 'The Clem' Clemmit and former Leeds defender Danny Mills (He was on loan to the Boro for a bit 7 years ago... yes, that's literally the only link to our area). But don't let that put you off, it promises more in depth highlights of all teams in the region, including Pools.

Haha H'angus is like the only mascot I noticed when I first saw the advert, it's like all him.

Oh, and can't wait to see the show. Surely it's not gunna be all Newcastle or Sunderland? I'm sure PoolsWorld are over the moon with this :D Free Interviews for us!

Is this the 5 teams that we call local or all the yorkshire clubs and stuff? Also is Gateshead going to be covered?
PeterleePoolie94
Just the Football League clubs so no Sunderland and no Gateshead. The clubs on the show will be us, Newcastle, Boro, Darlo and Carlisle.

Best move the club done for a long time by making a mascot. The free publicity this has generated would have cost ten's of thousands of pounds to achieve. The best bit of business the club did with H'Angus was Mr Drummond’s £500 deposit to run for mayor. This was picked up by countries around the world and was the best five hundred quid the club ever spent. PS - Once Mr Drummond won the mayor job, the club cut all it ties with him...

I wonder if Pool are getting appearance money for H'Angus's services. Is he a registered trademark?

When did this earthquake happen that moved Carlisle to the North-East? Or did they get washed here in a flood?
comeonthepools
I think he is, OvertheHill but I imagine the club wouldn't get any money for this, just some free publicity.

Carlisle are included because they're stuck out in Cumbria on their own so get included in our to make it a 'North East and Cumbria' show.
