Player Of The Season So Far: Scott Flinders
In our one off series of Player Of The Season So Far, we review the contender of Scott Flinders.
This time last season, we were dwelling miserably on the two clowns we had between the posts...but what a difference a year makes.
Pools signed the 23 year old stopper for free, from Crystal Palace this summer, and had a fair few question mark's hanging over his head, but he has made an instant effect.
Marking his longest run of games in the number 1 jersey, the former £1million keeper, has kept an amazing 9 clean-sheets, only beat by high-flying Leeds.
He may have made a blunder of Tuesday, but if you compare the times he has saved us this season, then he is allowed a freak mistake!

The 1-0 win at Gillingham. He has been superb every game, but he made a cracking save to deny Johnson in the dying minutes. He also commanded his box well, and was a tough test for the Gill's to break.
