Chris Turner reassured his signings from Scandinavia, that they are still in his plans, and the reserves fought hard but succumbed to their fourth straight defeat, all covered by Vital Hartlepool.
Adam Boyd expressed his delight with starting alongside James Brown, while the latter of the duo was described as 'unplayable'
Here is this week's top 5;
5) Adam Boyd Pleased To Start With James Brown
After starting with Denis Behan for the majority of the campaign, Adam Boyd admitted that he was delighted that he was chosen to partner James Brown upfront. Boydy scored the winner in last saturday's game, and was picked ahead of out-of-form Behan.
4) Reserves Beaten After 5 Goal Thriller At St James'
Hartlepool United reserves made the visit to St James Park, as Newcastle's second string hosted Pools. A bright start saw Pools take the lead, but the Geordies fought back, and scraped a 3-2 victory.
3) Turner: James Brown Is 'Unplayable'
James Brown's return to the starting 11 sparked Chris Turner into saying that the hot-shot is 'unplayable' on his day. We all know Browny has big future ahead of him, and if he can stay fit, then Pools will continue to have a major asset in their ranks.
2)
urner Has Faith In Bjornsson and Fredriksen
Jon-Andre Fredriksen and Armann Bjornsson haven't really set the place alight at Pools yet, although I and many others, are great fans of Fredriksen. However Turner is given his far fetch signing time to bed in, and knows they will be a major influence when they hit the ground running.
1) Turner Wary Of 'Tough' Upcoming Fixtures
Pools dropped to 12th yesterday, but Chris Turner is confident his side can achieve a top half finish, despite a very difficult 3 months awaiting. Pools entertain Southampton, before they visit Leeds on Boxing Day. The reverse fixture is just 7 games after, in which that tie is squashed between 7 teams who all occupy top 8 positions currently.
