Clark Pleased With Town's Character
Lee Clark praised Huddersfield Town, after they overcame a 1 deficit to beat a battling Hartlepool United.
Gary Liddle nodded in Pools' only goal on 20 minutes, and Pools remained in control for the majority of the first period, before money-bags Town stepped up the tempo, and were just too good for a battling Hartlepool side.
The Geordie boss was a slight arrogant at Pools after, stating they weren't much threat, but was proud with a narrow win.
''I thought we deserved to win. Apart from their goal and the one they had cleared off the line it took until the 65th minute for them to get a shot on target. But there's no doubt this was one of the most satisfying wins of the season because we had to come back from a goal down.''
The winner arrived after the hour mark, when Robbie Williams was allowed a free role, in which he bypassed 4 players - without challenge, before unleashing. Clark heaped the praise on the full-back. ''It was a terrific goal and there's no doubt that Robbie possesses many attributes as an attacking full-back.''
