Brown, McSweeney and Jones Set To Miss Cup Clash

Hartlepool United have been dealt a major injury blow with the news that James Brown, Ritchie Jones and Leon McSweeney look set to miss the game with Kettering.

Early indications are that Turner wants to keep changes to a minimum for the FA Cup clash on Saturday but he'll be forced into changes after learning that the trio are likely to miss the game.

Chris Turner said there was a slim chance they could play but he wouldn't risk them ''All three are doubtful for Saturday and we will have to leave it until the last minute. If they are not fit, they will not play. There's no point in risking them.

''When Ritchie Jones was left out of the team, I had discussions with him and told him what we needed him to do. He has trained and played in the reserves as well as I have ever seen him.

''In the first 45 minutes at Brighton, he was excellent. No disrespect to Tony Sweeney but we did miss him.''
