Carlisle Poised To Sign Matty Robson
Recently released Hartlepool United winger Matty Robson is poised to sign Carlisle after their manager admitted talks had gone well.
United boss Gregg Abbott admitted that talks between the club and Robson had taken place and that a deal could be tied up this week.
''I spoke with Matt and his agent and they were both very positive. We left it at a very good point so we would expect to have something more on that one by Tuesday or Wednesday.'' he told the Carlisle official site.
Abbott was keen to stress that a deal had not been signed yet but was confident that Robson would be a Carlisle player next season.
''What we don't want to do is say that a deal is done because, as we have seen before, anything can happen, but we parted on good terms and we could have something more to say on it very early this week.''
