The former Greek under 21 stopper, currently spending five days at a rehabilitation centre in Belgium, was due to be out for a minimum of six months but has returned to training in just four months.

Dimi lost his place in the Coventry side when a few shaky performances and a new manager all took it's toll. Hartlepool fans will not fail to remember his heroics in the play offs and his undoubted talent.

Dimitrios does, however, believe he 'is good enough to compete at Championship level at least' which may hinder a move to Pools. Dimi's main worry is his return to fitness and gaining of confidence and that is something Pools would be able to supply.
