Jeff Winter Leaves TFM Radio

Jeff Winter Leaves TFM Radio

Former Premier League Referee Jeff Winter has parted company with local radio station TFM.

Winter presented the Jeff Winter Football Phone-In and Soccer Saturday programmes but has now left the station.

The decision is down to TFM moving towards a music only format which leaves no room for sport at the weekends. The programmes always gave coverage to Hartlepool and Darlington when other stations did not and these popular programmes will be sorely missed.

The Vital Hartlepool columnist said that he`s loved his time with the station ''I have loved every minute on air and would like to thank TFM Radio for their support and for giving me a good grounding in presenting, editing and producing quality radio shows.''

''I have endeavoured to give air time to all clubs - both professionally and non-league - that other media outlets usually forget about. I leave with glowing references and the experience and confidence to possibly do similar shows elsewhere.

Jeff admits that he`ll miss talking to the hundreds of callers to his show ''The most important aspect of the shows has been the interaction with thousands of loyal listeners who have texted, emailed and phoned the shows. I will miss them.''
